NHS is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.
To be considered for NHS membership at ICCS, students must be in their sophomore, junior or senior year, carry a 3.75 minimum GPA and demonstrate exemplary behavior in character, service, leadership, and scholarship. Marian Chapter members must also be enrolled in three or more honors/AP classes at the time of initiation.
